Areum Bakery
Did you know that the name Areum actually means “pretty” in Korean?
It’s a playful nod to our Ugly Cookies.
It perfectly captures our belief that true beauty lies in flavor, authenticity, and care — Just like our cookies (and honestly, most of us), there’s something wonderful about being a little rough around the edges. 😌🍪
The Korean Ugly Cookie movement 🇰🇷 started in South Korea as a celebration of imperfection.
Instead of striving for flawless, factory-perfect bakes, bakers embraced the cracks, the chunkiness, and the handmade charm of each cookie 🍫✨
What they created weren’t just treats — they were joyful little acts of rebellion against perfectionism 😎🎉
At Areum Bakery, we proudly continue that tradition.
Our cookies are handmade in small batches and baked daily with values we truly believe in:
🌀 Perfectly Imperfect – No two cookies are the same. They’ve got quirks, charm, and a whole lot of flavor.
👅 Flavor First – Bold, rich, chewy goodness made with high-quality ingredients. We care more about taste than trends.
🤲 Handmade with Love – No factory lines here. Just two hands, a lot of care, and a sprinkle of chaos.
✨ Less is More – We focus on what matters: flavor, joy, and realness. Not “Insta-perfect” shots (even though our cookies are pretty photogenic in their own way).
We only share what we’d proudly serve to our own loved ones (with zero crumbs left behind). 🥰
We dream of a world where people embrace imperfection — in cookies and in life.
Until then, we’ll keep baking joy. One chewy, chunky bite at a time. 💛🍪
